Hunt reserve The hunt reserve Zhirnovskoye of the Hunt Enterprise Stanevt is situated in the Shabalinsky district of the Kirov region (at the meeting-point of Kostroma and Nizhni Novgorod regions). The total area of the game-reserve is 50 thousand hectare, there are no roads and inhabitants there (the single village is Zhirnovo, where the hunt base is situated). The hunt farm has 2 jeeps UAZ, 4 snowmobile, 4 motor tricycles on the tyre tubes (a very good vehicle for lack of roads) for the transportation of the arriving hunters. The personal consists of 7 hunt guides (in uniform with the symbology of the Hunt Enterprise), two cooks, household assistants. The director coordinates and controls the work of the operating personnel in the territory of the hunt reserve personally. Every year the maintenance workers of the hunt farm sow up to 16 oat fields, 10-12 of which are attended by bears. We can seat separately up to 8-10 hunters for bears at the distance of 2 4 8 20 km one from another. Every seat for hunting is wide, for two persons, with a scaffold and a backrest, the hunter has to seat there with a hunt guide. Every year the hunt reserve purchases up to 20 tons of the bait at the meat packing plant. In the year 2003 the clients of The Hunt Enterprise bagged 8 lynxes, 8 bears including bears with the skins 172, 180, 190, 192 and 213 cm long.
